To obtain a Class A CDL, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age (18 to 20 years of age to drive only intrastate) but to drive out of state the driver must be 21 years of Age.
- Hold any driver’s license
- Have proof of your residence in Washington state.
- Submit your state’s CDL Application and pay the appropriate fee
- Submit a completed Medical Examination Report Form and Medical Examiner’s Certificate Form
- Pass a vision test
- Pass a knowledge test
- After passing, be issued a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP)
